Hand-Painted Paddle from the fine people of Sanborn Canoe. Design inspired by Billy Magee, an Ojibwe trapper and guide from the early 1900s. He was also the exploring companion of conservationist and canoeist Ernest Oberholtzer. Certainly, their most notable adventure together was 2,000 mile, 4-month journey through largely uncharted territory ending at Hudson Bay – this trip was turned into the book Toward Magnetic North.
Colors: White, Eldorado, Orange and Poseidon Blue
Wood: Walnut, Aspen and Western Red Cedar
Blade: 5" x 26"
Avg. Weight: 22oz.
CABIN CRUISER CLASS: While not recommended for the rigors of extended wilderness trips, since they don't have fiberglass reinforced blades or epoxy tip guards, they are great for cruising around the lake on day trips or gracing your cabin's wall. These paddles are a combination of hardwood and Western Red Cedar laminated together and have a heavy varnish finish.
